Task 1a
The pre-game is where the player goes into the settings and configure them before starting the game, this usually takes place on PC games because the configurations on a game depends on how powerful a pc is. When on this stage you’re able to change things such as resolution so that you can run the game. Other pre-game things that you can change is things like controls in the settings since these take place before the game.
The game start means when the game is being started up and is the part of the game where the logos appear on the screen such as the people who developed, published and other who helped with the creation/release of the game
In-Game is as you can guess, it is when the player plays through the game. This goes through cut scenes, gameplay and anything else that the player can do during the game such as quick time events.
Post-game/after game is the end of the game whether this is because you have completed the game and are at the credits/final cut scenes or you have died and are on the death screen
